If I feel like eating something  bad  for me, I  try  to either modify it by making it from low-carb  ingredients (swapping any potatoes or pasta  cauliflower, and sometimes cabbage or broccoli) or  find a substitute.  For instance Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds+ cinnamon  results in a  sweet snack that   replaces  donuts, cookies, and  my boss's  SCARY cinnamon rolls!
I'm also trying to replace some of the low-carb foods that, while  being OK with my  diet, don't contribute anything  nutrition-wise  to my life. So it's still empty calories. One of those products is low carb ice cream. it's tasty, but it's loaded with unpronounceable ingredients.
So here's my alternative:  Frozen Yogurt, made at home: 1 cup  yogurt+ sugar free jam and artificial sweetener of your  choice. you can  but the bowl in the freezer and scrape the  sides every  few minutes, or  you can use a mini  ice  cream maker. ( See  my favorite  equipment page)  Not only is it delish,  but it has active cultures for my  stomach. Dairy, according to that BBC  video I posted, helps to absorb  fat. Also  right after I eat it, It  makes me all relaxed and sleepy  so it's easy  to get to bed  :-)
