     Bear with me, I'm still  getting this page going, so it's a bit  small at the moment. Hopefully it  will grow  as I shrink! I'm in the process of losing a LOT  of weight  using  the Atkins diet as a  way of changing my  lifestyle. If you've never heard of   Atkins, it's a diet that  eliminates  processed sugar, and  limits starches  while allowing a higher percentage of fat than most  diets. I know it has a reputation as a "fad"  diet, but  it  started  the  changes  that  grew into a better lifetstyle  for me. I jokingly call my lifestlyle "farmer's market Atkins",  because I try  to  stick to  a diet of  locally  grown produce,fish, and grassfed or pastured/free  range meats and eggs. I  add to that  nuts and seeds, organic  dairy,  and  a very limited amount of  low carb baked products, and the   occasionaly protein shakes when I'm in a  rush or get home starving.

        I also bike everywhere  for transportation so  I get my  excercise in.
